Add email to an iOS device – Apple iPhone

If you have created an email account through Plesk and want to manage it from your iOS device, such as an iPhone or iPad, you can add it by following these steps:

  1. On your device, locate the Settings icon and click on it.



2. Then select Mail.



3. Click on Accounts.



4. Select Add Account.



5. On the screen that appears, select Other.



6. Then select Add Mail Account.



7.Fill in the following information:



Name: Enter the name of your email account
Email: Enter your full email address, e.g., info@yourdomain.tld
Password: Enter the password for your email
Description: Set a description for this email on your device
Select Next.

  1. On the next screen, choose the account type IMAP or POP. (In our example, we will continue with IMAP).


9.Then scroll down to enter the incoming and outgoing mail server settings.



For Incoming Mail Server

1. Host Name: Enter your incoming mail server (e.g., linuxzone123.grserver.gr - see below how to find this value)
2. User Name: Enter your full email address, e.g., info@yourdomain.tld
3. Password: Enter your email password

For Outgoing Mail Server

1. Host Name: Enter your outgoing mail server (e.g., linuxzone123.grserver.gr - see below how to find this value)
2. User Name: Enter your full email address, e.g., info@yourdomain.tld
3. Password: Enter your email password
4. Click Next.

Note: You can find the incoming & outgoing mail server values by logging into your Plesk, displayed at the top of the screen in the browser's URL bar, e.g., linuxzone123.grserver.gr. Important: Do not copy the port 8443.



10. After correctly filling in all the above information for your account, the following screen will appear.



11. On the next screen, choose the apps you want to connect with your email account and save your selections.



12.Next, you need to set secure ports for incoming and outgoing mail. To do this, go to the Accounts window and click on the name of the email account you just added.



13.Select your account info@yourdomain.tld.



14.Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and find the Advanced option.



15.After clicking on Advanced, the screen will display the incoming mail settings.



Enable Use SSL
Server Port: 993 for IMAP, 995 for POP
Click Account in the top left to return to the previous menu.

16.To set outgoing mail settings, select SMTP.



17. Click on the name of your mail server.



18. The outgoing mail settings will be displayed.



Enable Use SSL
Server Port: 465 or 587
Finally, click Done.

Once you have followed these steps, your email account will be successfully connected!
