I use Microsoft Outlook 2013. How can I configure it to delete copies of emails from the server?

If you manage your mail through a mailclient such as Microsoft Outlook 2013, when you download your emails to your computer, they can be deleted from the server immediately or at a specific time period that you wish and you define.

In case you use Microsoft Outlook 2013 and POP3 email accounts :

1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2013 and select Account Settings.

2. In Account Settings, double-click on the email account.

3. On the Change Account tab, select More Settings.

4. On the Advanced tab.

5. Select one of the following:

5.1 Remove from server after x days (Emails are downloaded to your computer, but remain on the server for the days you specify.)

5.2 Remove from the server after being deleted from the 'Deleted' folder (A download of the emails is made to your computer but they also remain on the email server indefinitely, until you delete the message in Outlook and empty the Deleted folder)

6. To complete the process, click the OK button.
