Install SSL in cPanel

Once you have followed all the previous steps and the Issuing Authority has proceeded with the validation of your SSL, the final keys are issued and will be sent to your SSL administrator's email.

More specifically, the following keys will be sent:

  • Main  
  • Intermediate  
  • Root  certificate. 

To install these keys in your cPanel, follow the steps below.

Log in to cPanel and in the Security category click on SSL/TLS.

2. Then in the category Install and Manage SSL for your site (HTTPS) click on Manage SSL sites.

3. In the window that will open you will need to fill in the following fields:

3.1. In the Domain field, select from the drop down list the domain for which the CSR was originally issued (Step 1)

3.2. Certificate: (CRT): In this field paste the Main key sent to the admin email, which should start with

—–BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–

and to end with

—–END CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–

3.3. Private Key (KEY): In this field locate the Private key already present on the server, which was generated together with the CSR. See here how to find it so you can copy and paste it into this field.

Private Key should start with

-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

And to end with

-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY----
3.4. Certificate Authority Bundle: (CABUNDLE): In this field you should paste the Intermediate AND the Root certificate, one below the other without a blank line. Both keys will start with

—–BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–

and will end with

—–END CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–

3.5. Finally select Install Certificate
