What is a domain name?

The domain name is your internet address, i.e. the place where users who want to visit your site will find you. To ensure that a domain name will be exclusively yours, it is necessary to register it, i.e. to pay an amount (depending on the ending) that will allow you to use it exclusively.

The suffix can indicate that it is a company site (.com), an organization (.org) or give the site a geographic destination (.gr for a site located in Greece).
