What is the host name of the database server of the MySQL databases I create through Plesk?

The database servers we use to host MySQL databases are independent from the webserver (different machine). We have implemented this policy for better performance and speed of your site and for greater reliability in the services we offer you.

The name of the database server (hostname) of a MySQL database can be found inside Plesk by following the steps below:

1. Login to myTophost Panel

3. On the Websites & Domains tab, select Databases from the menu on the right.

4. Find the base you are interested in and there you will find the name of the database server as shown below.

Attention: In some custom applications you do not need to declare port 3306.
