How to install Imunify360 to your hosting plan

Imunify360 is an advanced security solution for VPS and Dedicated Servers. It provides protection against malware, brute-force attacks, vulnerabilities, blacklists, and more. You can easily install it by following the guide below.


Prerequisites

  • Your server runs CentOS, CloudLinux, AlmaLinux, or Ubuntu
  • You have root access via SSH
  • Your server’s IP address has external Internet access
  • You have an active Imunify360 license (IP-based or CloudLinux Network)

Step 1: Connect to your server

Connect to your server via SSH as root:

ssh root@your-server-ip

Step 2: Download the installer

Download the installation script:

wget https://repo.imunify360.cloudlinux.com/defence360/i360deploy.sh -O i360deploy.sh

Step 3: Run the installation

If you have an IP-based license, simply run:

bash i360deploy.sh

If your license is associated with a CloudLinux Network (CLN) account, use the following:

bash i360deploy.sh --key YOUR_IMUNIFY_KEY

Or alternatively:

bash i360deploy.sh --user your@email.com --pass yourpassword

The installation process may take 10–20 minutes.


Verify installation

imunify360-agent status

To perform a malware scan via command line:

imunify360-agent malware on-demand start --scan-path /home

Recommendations & best practices

  • Enable Proactive Defense to prevent zero-day attacks
  • Add your IP address to the whitelist
  • Configure email notifications for suspicious activity
  • Review logs at /var/log/imunify360

Uninstallation

To remove Imunify360 from your server, run:

bash i360deploy.sh --uninstall

This command will remove all related files and configurations.
